Snowed In with the Runaway Bride

Betrothed since childhood to the Duke of Kendal and still recovering from a near-fatal illness, Miss Penelope Montgomery is resigned to the marriage … until she discovers her twin sister Pippa has been in love with Kendal for years. The only way to prevent disaster is for Penny to flee her Christmas wedding ahead of an incoming snowstorm that strands her at a tiny inn with her jilted groom’s irritatingly attractive brother Hugo.

Royal Navy Captain Lord Hugo Dalston wanted to escape the spectacle of the woman he loves marrying his older brother, but Penny’s impulsive actions force them to share the smallest room he’s ever seen in an isolated village where everyone believes them to be husband and wife. Even worse, the masquerade is dangerously seductive, showing Hugo what his life with Penny can be if he has the courage to risk his family, his livelihood, and even Penny’s health should her illness return.

Snowed In with the Jilted Duke

Pippa Montgomery knows this is all her fault. If she had not kissed her twin sister’s betrothed, Penny never would have run away. Now Pippa must masquerade as Penny at the Christmas house party where Oliver Dalston, the Duke of Kendal, was to have married her sister. The pretense was Oliver’s idea, but he seems to keep mistaking Pippa for his intended bride in a way that gives her unreasonable hope.

Oliver has felt uneasy about his betrothal ever since the night he kissed a woman he believed to be his intended … but may have been her twin sister instead. Penny’s flight from their wedding means he must pretend Pippa is his betrothed to preserve her sister’s reputation. It becomes more and more difficult to ignore that he and Pippa are far more suited than he and Penny ever were… but the marriage contract signed by his profligate father a decade ago may trap Oliver in a marriage he no longer wants and put Pippa out of his reach forever.
